I ordered a custom cake for my sons birthday and I must say we were not let down! Amazing, amazing cake! The look and the taste was one of the best cakes I’ve ever had. I think it was better than my wedding cake! :-) Highly recommended. I will come here from now on for all of my cakes! Thanks again.

We were so impressed by the quality and taste of the cupcakes that we decided to go with Sweet Retreat. I am so happy we did. The staff are fever friendly and the cupcakes are amazing!

We got our wedding cupcakes here and couldn't be happier. The cake tasting was a delightful and tasty experience. We ended up ordering over 300 cupcakes with 3 flavors. We had a vegan choice, a gluten free choice, and a regular. All were delicious and our guests were very happy. Very professional and we highly recommend them.

Extremely pleased with the cake I had made for my sisters baby shower.. I took them a picture that I found on Pinterest and they made it look even better. The cake was absolutely delicious and had everyone asking where it came from? Side note I grabbed a few carrot cake cupcakes that were also way too good!

We LOVED the cupcakes. After searching relentlessly for the right wedding cupcakes, we made an impromptu visit to Sweet Retreat. It was getting close to the wedding and we hadn't made appointment; just planning on buying a couple to taste. Instead, they gave us a tasting on the spot and they were MAGNIFICENT!! Best cupcakes I have ever had. (Especially loved the Strawberry Balsamic, but they were all so wonderful.) They were a total hit at the wedding. Very impressed and many thanks to the wonderful job done. :)

Deserts are always an important part of any event, especially a wedding, and The Sweet Retreat exceeded our expectations! Working with Mariah to select the best option of cupcakes for our guests was fun and easy. She was willing to work with the vision that my wife and I had for our wedding and we couldn’t have been happier with how things turned out. On the day of, everything was ready on time for pick up and easy to transport to the venue. Would highly recommend choosing The Sweet Retreat for any occasion.

We had Sweet Retreat make cupcakes and a small cutting cake for our wedding, and I cannot recommend them enough! They were very easy to work with, and everyone raved about the cupcakes we had (peanut butter cup, cookies-n-cream, and strawberry balsamic). We heard from numerous guests that they were the best cupcakes they ever had!

Dont bother trying to fax an order over, no fax number is given on the downloadable form. So, in my case, you drive 30 mins out expecting to get the birthday cupcakes you ordered a day in advance and instead you get whatever is left in the case and NO OFFER of a refund or anything else to compensate you.just a "oh well, sorry that's the owners problem". Extremely disappointing considering it is the company's fault for not providing the right number on an order form.

Best cupcakes in the Twin Cities. Have had many other spots but the buttery, rich cupcakes here top them all. A variety of them ready to go and some special ones that come around for holidays (like Mother’s Day in the picture.)

Sweet Retreat was my favorite cupcake shop before I got married and it's my favorite hands down after my wedding! Mariah and the staff at Sweet Retreat so helpful and exceeded my expectations for what we wanted. We knew we wanted cupcakes and a small cake for us. The flavors we picked were a hit with everyone and they were all gone the next day! The cake is to die for that my hubby and I decided we weren't waiting a year to eat, so we cut slices of it so we can enjoy it every month after out wedding! We also plan on going back every month once the cake slices are gone :)

I gave this bakery over two weeks notice for the cake designs I wanted. I emailed them and then called and made the final design color specifications on the phone as she was inputting them. When I arrived an entire model was missing for the decoration of one cake and the other was purple instead of black. When I told them this they only had excuses about how it would have been more money to do what I wanted. I was completely willing to pay it. Instead now I have a purple cake for a requested black birthday cake and the model is nowhere to be found. They gave me $25 refund for. $222 order that they messed up on. I'm completely dissapointed and would not recommend this bakery as their communication is disorganized and you don't get what you order per my experience.

Nadia Cakes has NADA on these! Especially in the gluten free dept. Amazing cupcake and cake balls!! I need gluten free-they’re by far the BEST gluten free cupcake in town!! GF PERFECTION!

The cake turned out better than I expected. Tasted and looked great. They were very patient with any questions we had and stayed within our budget.

They made a beautiful three tiered cake for my daughters party. It was soooooo tasty. Everyone at the party commented on how lovely it looked and how amazing it tasted. The staff was very helpful and they had an iPad full of previous cake pictures to spark design ideas. I can’t wait to go back for my next special event.

Sweet Retreat was everything we hoped for and more! When looking for a wedding cake we wanted nontraditional (no flowers, red and black) and we had a very hard time finding a place that understood our wants and needs. till we came here, everyone was wonderful to work with and they brought our thoughts and ideas to life in the most beautiful way! we couldn't have been happier with how our wedding cake turned out and the taste was out of this world, by far the best tasting cake I've ever had! all of our guest loved it too! i highly recommend working with them. I know ill be coming back in the future for any of my cake needs

Thank you for the great cake to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday! It was just a simple cake with butter cream frosting, but was absolutely excellent, moist, professionally decorated and couldn't have been better. We loved it! Ordered 12 cake balls from Akron Ohio to be delivered to my daughter for her birthday in Minneapolis. They were on time and she said they were delicious!! Thank you Sweet Retreat! Will definitely order again when I can't be in town to bake for them myself!!

They came through with an amazing Hamilton themed cake for my 30th birthday. I honestly didn’t expect it would taste good considering how beautiful it was but it was so amazing!! I highly recommend for the most delicious customized cake!

Ordered my daughters 2nd birthday cake and let me tell you it was worth every penny!! The cake was exactly what we asked for and my daughter was so happy when she saw it! Everyone at her party loved it and they were all impressed at the detail! Thank you so much for making the perfect cake and so last minute!!

Purchased 4 dozen cupcakes foe kids party, about have of them were hard as a rock, called to let owner know, she sated that some of the cupcakes have a hard crust on top and are crunchy, I asked if they sell day old cupcakes and owner said yes. I will pay premium $ in a boutique setting, but I expect quality and freshness, If you are looking for day old bakery goods at at premium $ this is the place to be!!!

Today I picked up the CUTEST cupcakes for my granddaughter's birthday and I skipped out of Sweet Retreat and....BAM! I dropped one of the trays and it flopped upside down...I almost fell on the ground bawling.I crawled back to the store and they dropped everything and put together new cupcakes for me. I cannot express how grateful I am to them.Not only do they have fabulous customer service - every time I order something for a special occasion I am thrilled. They turn baking into an art. Sweet Retreat might be a bit more expensive - but I am always 10 times happier than I would have been if I paid less with anyone else. Make Sweet Retreat your go-to bakery!
